CENTRAL Scholarships Incoming

CENTRAL scholarships allow doctoral candidates to participate in a one-month research visit at one of the CENTRAL partner universities. Scholarships for 'Incomings' are directed at doctoral candidates from the University of Warsaw, the University of Vienna, Charles University or ELTE Budapest that wish to spend a research visit at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. CENTRAL scholarships are advertised at irregular intervals.

 

Application requirements: Candidates must be enrolled as doctoral students at the University of Warsaw, the University of Vienna, Charles University or ELTE Budapest at the time of their application. The research visit must bear a clear relation to the doctoral project (e.g. research activities, academic consultations, participation in colloquia, etc.). The dissertation supervisor at your home institution is expected to show his/her support for your research visit by writing a 'letter of support'. It should also be ensured that supervision is provided by an academic supervisor (with at least a doctoral degree) at Humboldt-Universität.

  3. current confirmation of enrolment / confirmation of your status as PhD student
  4. short letter of invitation from the academic supervisor at Humboldt-Universität

The application deadline for research visits to Humboldt-Universität (Incomings) ended on 31 August 2018.

 

Confirmation of supervision (see the printed form entitled "Confirmation") as well as a summary report are to be submitted no later than four weeks after completion of the research visit.

 

The scholarship amount for visits to Humboldt-Universität is currently a payment of 1250 €.

 

It is up to the individual student to make sure he/she has sufficient international health insurance – including liability and accident insurance – during the research visit.
