Promotion of International Students and Young Researchers

The Promotion of Students and Young Researchers represents the second level of the CENTRAL network. It consists of five of the twelve cooperation projects as well as the CENTRAL-Kollegs.

Cooperation projects

The five sub-projects, Problem Solving in Mathematics Classrooms in Hungary and Germany, Hungarian Language in Theory and Practice, Network East-West: Law Student Exchange Program, Summer School on 20th Century History and the PhD Forum East European History of Arts target the promotion of profile building and networking for young researchers through summer schools, workshops and research stays for PhD students. In addition to the exchange of specialist knowledge, the meetings promote joint collaborative projects as well as international and interdisciplinary networking of undergraduate and PhD students.

CENTRAL-Kollegs

The CENTRAL-Kollegs are student research teams that are initiated and supervised by young researches who, under guidance, independently develop and carry out a project that spans all five partner universities. The CENTRAL-Kollegs include joint lectures as well as exchange between the groups via digital platforms. The means for this are announced annually and centrally to all partner universities, and are assigned by a joint selection committee. Additionally, this format of free participation offers new projects the opportunity to enter the CENTRAL network.
